The ranch has its own spa, at Glaze Meadow pool area, with massages that can be booked, etc… (for an additional cost, of course). But there are also many great options around the ranch at no additional cost.
There are six outdoor pools… each a bit different from the others.
For a quieter experience, the North pool, South Pool and Palina Springs Pool tend to be more mellow and usually easy to find empty lounge chairs even during the height of summer. Glaze Meadow Pool area (near the playground, tennis courts and pickleball) is ideal for kids as it has both a large outdoor pool and an indoor one (complete with a slide). There’s also a small kiddy pool that’s only about a foot deep. Besides the many lounge chairs, there’s plenty of grassy area to spread out and have your own groups space. Inside are large changing rooms/showers… as well as a gym, a yoga room, bike rental shop, store, and (in the summer) a coffee shop/food court area with grilled items and soft serve yogurt (need I say more!?).
Along with the indoor pool is a steam room… and outside is a large hot tub. This has everything you need for spending several hours and everyone getting what they want! If you want a more upscale experience, the Lodge Pool area behind the Bistro at the front of the Ranch was recently remodeled complete with a large outdoor pool, gym, nice changing rooms and a dry sauna. The area has the greatest view on the ranch with the whole space up against the natural springs lake looking out towards the Three Sisters Mountains! The Bistro serves pizza, sandwiches, alcoholic beverages, coffee, etc… with service right at the pool.
One of our favorite “spa” experiences is to first go into the dry sauna until we can’t handle it, then race down for a “cold plunge” in the lake that is cold year round. Then back up to the outdoor shower and into the huge, modern outdoor hot tub. This is particularly thrilling in the winter when you may have to break thru the ice in order to lower yourself down the dock ladder for a full exhilarating plunge! You can get the spa “cold plunge” experience here at no additional charge.
Hint: if you have folks in the group who will balk, start in the dry sauna and see how long people can stand it. When you then announce you are all running down to the lake, I’ve seen lots of people who swear they would never do it, get caught up in the moment and jump in after all. And are so thrilled they did! It’s a fun, shared experience they will be talking about for years to come!
